Welcome!

Hi,
Please make yourself at home here at my blog, where I write about things I love and things that have captured my imagination, as well as providing my own creative response to culture, particularly on books and comics.

Here are some blog highlights:
- Delving into ideas contained in the ground-breaking and gritty Watchmen, V for Vendetta and The Ballad of Halo Jones graphic novels, or Vertigo books.
- Posting poems with big subjects (eg this one, one kind of about nature, ones relating to my Christian faith, one on love, a lamentation and many more.)
- Posting a few times about my attitude as a Christian to entertainment culture (eg here).
- There are book reviews and several posts about movies.
- Occasionally I have put links up to some Christian talks (eg here and my own talk on this post).
- Comparing Heat and The Dark Knight was fun, and so was looking at anime including The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and Fullmetal Alchemist.

Let me know what works and what doesn't....
Rich.

    About Me

    My photo
    Richard Townrow
Having graduated in 2007, and after partnering with UCCF for a while, I'm eager for the next big thing - I want to be useful and there for others. Unfortunately I don't always have a great amount of patience or time to do everything! Am caught between a desire to be servant-hearted and a heart that betrays me to selfishness... therefore I rely on another's greater strength to support me and enable me to do some good now and then...
